Beautiful simplicity that makes me objectively think how I am feeling on a daily basis. This is an absolutely crucial task for someone like me. I will give my whole existence to almost anyone in need if I don’t check myself like this. Makes me give myself way more breaks when I realize how much better/worse I’m doing emotionally. I find myself saying less and less often to myself “this year/month/week has been horrible” because the statistics are RIGHT THERE! I’VE GOT THE RECEIPTS! I can look at my whole year at once and it really makes me think about where I am. (Most other mood trackers don’t offer this for some reason.) Absolutely beautiful app. Love it so much. Really helping me manage my depression! Only complaint (stupid one) is the app icon. I already have HIF in white text under the icon, the logo should stand out & be something different imo. Even just a simple circle or square with the different colors dividing the quadrants would be neat. 💠Oh and I couldn’t find this app by searching the App Store for “HIF” it just keep turning it into gif for some reason. I had to google it and “open in app store” to write this review.

I love how simple the app is, but I think more moods can be added as well as a notes option to jot down things to accompany our mood for the day.

The design of this app is simple yet engaging! It does exactly what it’s supposed to with no gimmicky features that clutter it up.I only have one complaint, but it’s a very valid one, in my opinion:I need an option to add custom feelings. As of right now, there are only five. Happy, Sad, Content, Angry, and Overwhelmed. While these are fairly effective at getting the point across, I have frequently found myself wishing I had a few more options to pick from.I’ve logged “overwhelmed” for four days in a row now, but I was only TRULY overwhelmed on one of those four. The other days, I wished I could’ve logged “anxious” or “tired”. I also have an issue with “content”. Some days, I’m none of the other four options, but am DEFINITELY not CONTENT. Rather, I’m “neutral” or “tired”. While allowing the user to add and customize feelings may decrease the simplistic style of the app, I feel the benefit far outweighs the few extra colors and text that might clutter the home page. I’m giving this a three-star review simply because I can already see myself getting frustrated with it. It will probably only take a few more days of having to log “overwhelmed” for me to stop using it all together.Not to get philosophical, but humans are already complex and our feelings are even more so. To force someone into one of only five categories just doesn’t seem reasonable. It takes away the human part of being human. Even lab rats can feel those five basic emotions.

i am once again asking the HIF creators to please add a tired option,and make it pink/dark blue/possibly purple. tired is a valid emotion,it’s a feeling people have often,me personally because i have raging insomnia,some days i am nothing,but tired,and that’s the word that best expresses how i feel. even though there’s a sad option it’s not close enough to the emotion tired for it to be logical for me to select. sad ≠ tired. if you care about people with insomnia,fatigue,or tired people in general you will add this option on to the next update. thank you for listening,and i hope that you’re having a green day. p.s- there is one star off my rating because there is not a tired option.
