The iOS app pales in comparison to the desktop application. I don’t believe we should expect 1:1 performance between the two, but improvements to mobile could be made. Please separate the emails and documents out of the “files” tab. The matter search function also does not seem to work very well. Unless a matter is a task of event, I have a hard time finding what I need. That being said, having all files while away from the desktop is a luxury and I’m willing to deal with some quirks. The ability to access my files while on the go has been a huge help to our firm. I don’t have to worry about forgetting a document or chasing down WiFi in a rush anymore and that alone makes Smokeball worth our investment. Before getting case management software I was creating all sorts of reminders for myself on the phone notepad; creating tasks that associate with the file help keep me much more organized. Everything is all in one place now and I don’t think I could go back.

Functionality is not as good as the desktop version of course, but convenient for when you are on the go. I use the app primarily for quick look up of matter details and documents if needed. I don’t rely on the app heavily.

Our firm opened with Smokeball as our client management software. The attorney and I had both used other software, but we both think Smokeball is amazing. The AI component is incredibly helpful. If there is anything I am having trouble with Smokeball support is right there. They also offer free training on any subject whenever we want.
