I’m just finishing a course on the book that this app is based on, Choosing Presence by Jim Heaney. I also just finished a course on Presence by Eckhart Tolle. This is a wonderful app bringing presence practice in a very clear, practical way, and in a Christian way, if that language is desired. Putting your hand on your heart during the sitting meditation/silence is a new practice for me and has really helped ground me. Then there are the three questions you asked throughout the day along with three conscious breaths after a morning practice. Bravo on this app and for helping us choose & practice presence. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

This app on my phone is so helpful. There are hundreds of repetitive thoughts that happen throughout the day and many of them… I would say 95% of them are not, “original”. They are thoughts that have been repeated through the course of time. This helpful tool gives us a re-grounding that helps us stay connected to our true nature. Using it consistently like anything else has cumulative effect. Thank you for this valuable app, which has added value, peace, and joy to my daily walk through this tricky gauntlet we call life.

Breathe… It’s so simple to do and this app provides a lovely wake up call to practice presence every hour!I’ve been meditating for years, but after reading Choosing Presence I’ve learned that breath work, prayer, and contemplation aren’t simply exercises of the mind. Rather, realizing a deep sense of peace and presence comes from the heart. The Practicing Presence app helps remind me that I can take three conscious breaths every hour and return to peace. Just do the practice and you won’t get lost in all the noise and distractions of your busy life!

There’s no shortage of apps in the mediation and spirituality space. However few are easier to use or require less effort to be effective. Practicing Presence is a beautiful app, easy to configure, and takes very little time to master. Quickly it will become a part of your daily practice in seeking to become more present and at peace.I was a bit skeptical that free app could be so helpful. Practicing Presence is one of the few apps I allow to send me notifications.
