I remember using this app when it was first announced n that time i ended up deleting it because its extremely restricted. I understand why but it’s not worth getting to know anyone if you aren't allowed to speak from your heart while building your profile. I was hopping the fixed that. Its a huge no for me. I am Intersex/ Trans fem and Asexual Neutral. It is a nightmare for a person like me to find a partner in these apps. I found someone of the same spectrum n i cannot even talk to them cuz of a pay wall. I find it insulting that i cannot modify my own profile either. It literally feels very cold n controlling how they present u. I feel like I'm just another steak in the market. I would rather stay in grndr. They don’t force u to pay for chats n you are free to do with your profile as u please with minor restrictions. Yes theres a crap ton of a holes n rude men there but it doesn’t limit me from what’s important. No pay wall for communication.,whats the point of this trans space if we aren’t allowed to talk to each other? Make chat accessible without a pay wall n i would give it a better chance. Otherwise don’t bother trying to make a “safe space” without communication it’s counterproductive. It takes more than looks for me to be attracted to another person. Without the one thing that matters to me more than flesh? Why would i waste money on vip if its not really catered to people like me?

Sorry you didn't like the app. Butterfly is a small app and small team and we need a paywall to stay in business. We cannot offer the app for free. We have restricted profiles to reduce abuse but you can write whatever you wish in your intro message which is shared with others. Once you connect you can also share whatever you wish. Hello, photo verification is becoming law in many countries. It is used to stop underage users and scammers. I would hope you agree that both of these are very important. If you do not want photo verification, then you will have to campaign to hardware vendors to verify at the device level; however, they do not seem interested.
