I needed to relocate temporarily to the Birmingham, AL area to continue my remote business work so my wife could complete her Heart & Lung Transplant surgery and recovery rehabilitation. Landing came through for us with just three days notice before moving into the unit we chose after our first place with a non-profit group was denied due to hiring local nurses for assistance with my wife. After months of having a reservation with the non-profit group, we were left potentially not having any place for my wife and I to stay; Landing came through for us quickly in our time of need!! All of the staff were friendly and worked very hard to get our application process completed within just two days so we could move in on time when my wife got out of the hospital! Where we stayed at, The Retreat at Greystone, was a an amazing place that was close to everything we needed, just 5 minutes to the grocery stores, gas station, pharmacy, and more along with a very friendly staff and neighbors in very safe neighborhood and surroundings. We will definitely use Landings services again and would recommend to those that need to temporarily relocate for work or business!! Thank you again Landing!
Great for remote workers

My partner and I work for fortune 20 companies remotely and got sick of all the fees and inconsistencies with Airbnb. Landing has its pros and cons but I believe pros outweigh the cons. To all people complaining that units were not available, here is the tip: don’t book any place that had photos that say “similar landing” and doesn’t have official photos from the unit. That means it’s a new contract with that property and it’s not well established yet. If you book units that have actual photos attached most times you won’t have a problem ( we haven’t had this issue) Pros: ~ great amenities: brand new furniture, kitchen appliances ~ fast Wi-Fi and at least 1 dedicated work station (as a couple one of us takes that table and the other usually uses the kitchen table) ~ seamless work orders for maintenance through the app. We lived in 3 units so far over 7 months and only 1 had an issue which wasn’t Landing’s fault ~ if you travel a lot from place to place, there is some comfort in having some consistency: similar furnishings, same bedding and towels and kitchen utensils/ plates etc ~ it’s usually cheaper then Airbnb for the same type of place ~ switching between places is seamless: just give them 2 weeks notice Cons: ~ the customer support can be better, it’s annoying to have to talk to different regional managers. Just assign me 1 person that I can talk for all my issues and them manage everything else with regional managers ~ more transparency on taxes fees when moving out, we had to pay anywhere from $120- $300 on top of cleaning fee, this all depends on the state that you are in. ~ video tour of the place before you book would be great ~ community events, so you can meet with other landing members Overall we are very happy with the service and will continue using them for the foreseeable future while we are working remotely

It was mostly a disappointing experience for me. First off, nobody was clear enough on where to park in the property and nonody provided a parking sticker/sign for me when I got in. So my husband’s car was towed first night. I was like, ok I didn’t register his car. Following night, it was my car that got towed! Because I didn’t have a decal which wasn’t provided when I got in the property. Next, they decided to change the lock 2 days before I was scheduled to leave. I received a last minute text that they were going to upgrade the locks to a digital one called Latch. They instructed me to download the app last minute so I could get in! Ok. Did it. I was like - they couldn’t wait til I’m out?! I was able to unlock the door and got in the unit. Next day came and voila. The Latch system won’t lock from the outside at all. With all my stuff still in the apartment and it was my last day at work. I didn’t wanna call in because of the issue. And of course the 24/7 help line couldn’t help at all! They just don’t know what to do and kept asking me questions about how I was locking it the way it should but it won’t simply work! The last person I spoke to already annoyed me because she simply said “well you can just leave your door open” and hung up on me. She sounded mean. Never again with Landing. I was skeptical trying this at first because of the other reviews but the travel assignment I got was so last minute, I decided to give them a chance. These two were the top major issues I encountered. Let’s leave the other minor ones out since I’ll be writing a longer review than this!

Landing has proved to be a wonderful company to live with! While initially skeptical after reading some reviews, we have been very pleasantly surprised with this company. Our original apartment that we booked turned out to be unavailable when the property cancelled their contract with Landing. We were frustrated at first but they went above and beyond to make it right. They found us another apartment that was bigger and nicer and matched the price of our original place. Upon move-in the furnishings are spectacular and everything in our place is brand new!!! The whole place is comfortable and modern and the bedding and linens are just as advertised-luxurious! Our move-in coordinator was also wonderful! A few things came up on our move in and she was kind and took care of them, even offering to cover the cost of our covered parking spot when the information on the listing wasn’t clear about what was provided. I’d recommend Landing to anyone needing a furnished rental!
