This is literally perfect as a teen it is kinda hard to fully understand the actual book but this really puts it all together and I’ve actually learned a lot more. I really do recommend using this if ur having trouble comprehending the Bhagavad Gita as it is. But i also recommend reading the actual Gita and using this as a side clarification as it doesn’t really talk about the war and stuff and the other important people involved. The English translation uses loaded terminology derived from Christian roots. The word “sin” is used frequently, but Hindus do not believe in sin. This is just supposed to mean an immoral action, and translating it as sin is disingenuous and bound to cause devotees to fall into the same anxiety that Christians do. Additionally, this translation uses the word “hell.” That word is supposed to mean chaos and suffering on earth, so this is also a terrible word choice. This feels like reading the Bible again with strict dogma instead of properly translating the Sanskrit to reveal complex philosophy. The whole Gita is flattened and distorted from this lens.
