Ever since my siblings have had kids, I’ve been really lucky to be a part of their journey and growth as the cool aunt. Having EarlyBird means that I can see their big and small moments all in one place, rather than searching through text threads and photo folders— which I love! It’s super organized and special, and I get to invest in their future and feel like I’m making an actually difference in their lives. I like to leave a fun video for them and also a special picture anytime we’re together so that they always know how much they’re loved. The Nest has been amazing for our family to all be involved and to keep the amazing life moments together and celebrated. Definitely super usable for families and very safe and clear to navigate. My grandparents even use it and they’re in their 90s! 10/10 for our family! I have a baby fund that I set a recurring gift to as a small way to save up for my future family. As a new mom, I was researching various ways to save for my new baby when I came across this app. I love that it has a very affordable investment opportunity (low fees) and the ability to easily contribute periodically to a custodial account for her. The plan is to take the money that’s been saved and buy her first place to live in the city she decides to attend college in or live/work after high school. Recently I learned that the app has added “Moments” which are an amazing way to save for friends and family members also - complete with photos or video messages. While she’s young, any cash given to her by family is deposited here with a note as to who it was from.

I’ve been using Acorns since I started college 5 years back or so. Acorns let’s you invest regularly into Vanguard ETFs for $1 a month. This is the SAME THING, except for my newborn daughter! I love the cheap subscription ($216 over the 18 years I’ll use the app. Not bad!) and I love that it’s a custodial account. That way, my daughter could use the money to buy a car, go to college, go to a bootcamp, whatever, unlike a 529 plan. Acorns actually has the same thing, but for $3 a month :/ Sorry Acorns, but I’m a penny pincher 😂 Thanks for creating a great investing solution for my baby EarlyBird team! I have been looking for something that early bird offers for years now for my children. I wanted to be able to invest in their future but not have it tied to a specific outcome such as college or retirement. So far the ease of this app has been amazing. I had to send one question to their customer service and I was immediately replied to and everything was handled within a matter of seconds. I also have learned more about crypto and investing in that for them as well as we approach more uses for cryptocurrency‘s. It has definitely helped me become more aware of what is available as well.
