I have been using the Encounter meditations for 6 or 7 months now. The meditations were emailed to me daily, but the app is a cool idea because it allows you to journal notes from your encounter with God each day. I have recommended this to other people, forwarding a day or two’s email to them, and then telling them that if they like it, they too can sign up for the emails. But the app will make this much easier! I have donated to Encounter, and I ask you that if it means as much to you as it does to me, will you donate? Someone is investing time and money to do this for us, and the least we can do is to pass along some thanks in terms of dollars, and to help keep this available for more people to encounter God. I have received the emailed meditations for quite some time and really liked the app, but it used about 60% of my battery life, so I had to delete it. I think the meditations are a real blessing and am very grateful to Mr. Dickens and to God for giving him this ministry and such a gift for it, which is such a blessing to so many. It has been a real blessing for me as I deal with severe anxiety. I read an article online on how to deal with the battery's draining. I turned off background refresh, and then deleted an reinstalled the app. It seemed to work at first, but when I checked this morning, I found it had used 69% of battery power used and had been powered over 22 hours, when I wasn't using it. It's a wonderful app otherwise. I will keep checking snd see if this issue gets resolved. Will go back to the emails, in the meantime.

I’ll be honest. The first time I listened to a meditation I stopped it about a minute into it. I wasn’t a fan of the style and I’m pretty picky about voices. However, one very stressful day I decided to give it a shot again. I made myself finish the meditation and by the end of it I was used to the style and the voice. Now I use it daily and wouldn’t change a thing about it! My job is extremely stressful. I find that if I don’t stay focused and in the Word everyday I tend to spiral into an anxious mess. Adding this practice to my time with God has been such a blessing. Thank you for this app. Please continue to make new meditations. I can’t tell you how much you have impacted my life and helped me to find peace in the midst of chaos!

I’m so happy that the Encountering Peace app is here! I’ve been subscribed through email for the meditations for a long while but something about an app just makes it easier to access and easier to share with others🙌 God bless the creators and those with their generous hearts that have created this app and not only that but have made it free for anyone who just wants to hear the Word of God and dive deeper.
