This systematic observation tool is modified from the Arizona State University Observation Instrument (Lacy & Darst, 1989) that was designed specifically for collecting information on the behaviours of coaches in practice settings across a variety of sports and in the Physical Education environment. The enhanced tool has the capacity to capture behaviours related to teaching of sport skills, as well as values inculcation during and beyond a coaching session. It can also be used as a feedback and development tool to guide sport coaches to achieve quality coaching session.
