The Alcoo-sim Be my angel app is a blood alcohol content calculation simulator based on Widmark's formula, which you can use for preventive and educational purposes. It provides information on alcohol consumption risks, especially when driving a vehicle.
PHYSICAL HARM NOTICE:
The calculation in the application is implemented using Widmark's formula, which in forensic medicine is a formula used to calculate a person's blood alcohol concentration, based on the alcohol dose, alcohol distribution in body water, body weight, and rate of elimination. The calculation is not based on physical measurements but on the simulation only.
Your blood alcohol concentration is calculated according to your profile (sex and weight) and your consumption of alcoholic beverages.
The interactive curve enables you to follow the evolution of blood alcohol concentration over time. The user-friendly interface, paired with existing Smartphones specificities, allows a simple and efficient use.
Warning:
Results are provided for information purposes only. Legally, only a blood sample prevails. If you are drinking, don’t drive! Be careful: being tired, stressed, under drugs or medication reduces the ability to drive.
Be my angel is an alcohol and road safety prevention program, based on the designated sober driver concept, taking his friends back home at the end of the night. Our prevention teams are active in festivals and party scenes to promote this concept. More information on www.bemyangel.ch
