The Serpent & The Seed is a poetic musical mobile adventure game. In a world ruled by a serpent, his thorns & thistles have overtaken. A small group of freedom fighters have managed to track down what may be the last copy of an ancient book that is said to hold the key to defeating the serpent - what will they discover within its pages?

I would call this more of an experience than a game, but I really enjoyed it! You are taken through the story of the Bible with beautiful artwork and music and get to play a part in discovering who is the answer to all of the promises of a Savior (the promised Seed) throughout Scripture. It was peaceful and was a great go-to throughout the day when I was on my phone. Felt much more soul filling than social media or other games because I was being pointed to the gospel while using the app! I hope they continue to make more apps like this and find new ways to add to the experience and reach more people with it!

Great piece of interactive media overall, could communicate repentance a bit better

The graphics are beautiful, the soundtrack is beautiful, and I never felt bored or lost on what to do next. There were some mini games which felt surprisingly hard compared to the rest of the game (particularly the flappy bird game and the part with Goliath) but not so difficult as to make me give up. They do a good job communicating the overarching story of the Bible in a very condensed format, using the seed and tree imagery already found in scripture. The stories of Moses and David felt a bit disconnected from the rest, but overall I didn’t have trouble following it (though it might be harder for someone less familiar with the Bible, I don’t know). The main thing I felt could have been done better is that the story seems to focus more on the defeat of the devil (the serpent) than the salvation of sinners. There’s not really any indication that we need to repent, or make any choice or commitment. Oh, and I ran into a few bugs (it wouldn’t progress to act three, and the bread seemed stuck in the last supper scene) but when I closed and reopened the app, that seemed to fix it. Overall a very good game!

A Little Difficult, But Kinda Fun!

⚠️‼️Spoiler Alert to those who haven’t played the game! A Fun little game with childish SFX! (at least for the Philistines making fun of the Israelites kinda annoying when it’s on repeat when you haven’t solved the puzzle fully) The puzzles were a little bit difficult but not too hard to solve. Putting the wrong seed the game freezes, but for some reason I did the same thing again it continued. Some acts were kinda difficult and a little annoying. For example: fighting Goliath with music notes it took me a couple of tries to dodge the threats. And another time was the vine level that I was so close to the end and hit the vine at the last heart and it took me back to the beginning a couple of times [mungo flapping in the vine flappy bird style] And making the star took time but less than the others, but finally beat the game!! Oh, btw birds and owls and the developers put themselves in heaven in this game.

I just started playing and the graphics are beautiful! All the little animals look adorable! A very feel good game so far. I got stuck just after Mungo meets the man. After you see the green circle and the game says to turn your screen to landscape again. I tried flipping the phone over and tried to use my fingers to turn the screen, but I couldn’t get anything to happen. What should I do? Thank you!

Hi there, sorry you've had trouble - please can you email info@prayermate.net so we can dig into this? Turning the device back to landscape should be all that's required - and if it worked turning it to portrait it's surprising that it didn't detect the opposite.

Hi there, sorry you've had trouble - please can you email info@prayermate.net so we can dig into this? Turning the device back to landscape should be all that's required - and if it worked turning it to portrait it's surprising that it didn't detect the opposite.

Fixed a potential issue with the resurrection scene on older devices, where text would layer up. If you experience any issues please email info@prayermate.net
