I submitted my nicop update application with an executive fee. The app specifically designed for overseas but there is no option to to change the delivery address. It allows you to select the address which is mentioned on the card. If try to update the foreign address it says both temporary and permanent address should be from Pakistan. What's the point giving the option to update the nicop if we can't change the delivery address? It's been almost 3 weeks and my application is still under process even after payment has been processed. If request to expedite the application they said it's already executive type and it can't be expedite. PAK-ID App has been updated and it's not showing the options related to the ID, it's giving the visa's options. I can't even see my existing applications. If call NADRA to get help they don't have enough information to help, we have to submit a complaint for every single issue. Would be more helpful if they can resolve the issue on call instead of saying file a complaint. NADRA helpline answers the call right away but they should be more efficient and trained to resolve the issues. Why the Pak-id app showing the visa's options instead of nicop related options, is it an app glitch or something else?? I deleted and reinstalled but it's the same, showing me the option of tourist visa, business visa, Sikh pilgrims visa. All the options related to nicop has disappeared. Please advise!!

Couldn’t get past the account creation stage. It requires OTP, sent via email. This is very normal. The OTP also expires after 30 seconds. In most countries, this is reasonable. However in Pakistan, the OTP arrived 7 minutes later in my mailbox. When I entered it, the app gave the error message that OTP is expired. This renders the entire app unusable if you cannot even create an account. The product managers for the app need to realize that the OTP needs to be valid for at least 30 minutes since emails in Pakistan will not arrive in 30 seconds. This is a design error in the app which is not built for the circumstances it is operating in. It just takes a customer service mindset.Finally tried a Gmail account, and that arrived just in time for the app, so was able to create the login even though Gmail is not my primary account for email. However now it’s stuck on needing VPN to be disabled, which it is. But app continues to be stuck on “device tampering. Please disable your VPN.” And in spite of disabling it, app continues to spin in the error circle. Found a different phone that did not have VPN on it. Logged in from there. Only to find out that in fact, the only service is being offered are for tourist visa, visa for business or Sikh visit visas. This is in spite of the Nadra website indicating that using the app is a way to get necessary identity documents for Pakistan. I assume no one will be surprised at my one star rating.

This app does not let you edit information before submitting application that only makes the system more complicated. It says present and permanant address which is the same adress for US reaident bit i have to enter a Pakistani address although I do not have anyone living in Pakistan. By this system, NADRA forced us to deliver nicop to pakistan, untill i called to their customer service. They also deleted my dads application and did mot leave any record of submitted application. Nadra has now imposed a new conditions for NICOP to verify my 82 year old mother’s mother name. My mother’s original NIC does not include her mother’s name, and now, at age 82, NADRA is asking her 80- to 90-year-old siblings to complete an online affidavit just to verify their mother’s name. It’s an absurd and unrealistic demand. How many 80 year old Pakistani citizens have smart phone and how many of them are literate enough to submit online affidavit. My moms nephew are blackmailing in order to fill out affidavit which opens another way of corruption for a corrupt government. I too me 2 months to complete one application due to multiple issues. Now they have deleted and removed even tracking id from pakid app. I cannot believe that in 2025, Pakistani government cannot be sensitive to make one reliable fast online system. I am just sick of it now!

I would give zero star if I could. The idea of e-services is nice but the issue is this App that doesn’t function properly. Added layers of complexities and features that doesn’t make any sense. The photo feature is terrible as it only allows you to take live photo with the front camera which is workable for adults and older children but not for infants. There is no way you could possibly get a correct picture of your infant with this non-sense front camera only option. There is no option to upload pre-captured or scanned photo. However, by just allowing back camera this simple issue can be resolved if pre-captured photos are not allowed. The Pak ID website was good but now they have removed NICOP/CNIC/POC application from the website and the only way is to go through this pathetic mobile App. I usually don’t leave any reviews but this one is necessary as no matter wherever we Pakistani go we always feel trapped in this Sarkari system which always adds to our problems and never seems to be helpful at all. Feel sorry for all Pakistani out there trying to get some documents for their children…
