We all know the struggles of booting up our laptop, or in my case running Bootcamp on my Macbook just to run the Flash Wizard for a tune update. This became a process, but those days are soon to be over!! Now, thanks to the geniuses at IE, we can tune on the go right from our smartphones. The previously long process has shortened to minutes. Not to mention the live gauges are freaking awesome. They look cool, the UI is great, the app is simple to navigate, and you have all your tunes in your pocket! The app connects to the V4 POWERlink dongle incredibly quick so if you need to see how much boost you’re making at any given moment, it’s right there! Obviously there are some bugs every now and then (after switching to imperial units, exiting the app, and coming back to it, shows the old units) but the app is so new that it’s a given. Things will only improve from here. Thanks IE Team!

The part of the app that installs the TCU tunes doesn’t work. It fails at 9%, and my car won’t start until I repeatedly try and eventually successfully put the stock tune back on it. There’s ZERO information given on why it failed, what went wrong and how to fix it. They literally have no user prompt to help you, if it fails YOUR CAR WILL NOT START AND WILL NOT RUN. You CANNOT install ANY TCU tune with this app, it simply does not install and always fails. Unsurprisingly IE gives you zero support, zero guidance on what to do if this happens and they don’t have support available unless it’s within their 9-4 working hours Monday to Friday. They change their tunes and update them and will not let you go back to a previous revision because they don’t know how to properly run their business. If you don’t like an update, oh well. IE doesn’t know how to, or refuses to allow the end user to install different versions of their software. Spend over $1000 on software and can’t give you a list of versions you can install, it’s the most recent one and that’s it. Stay away from this app completely. It doesn’t work with TCU tunes and the only way to get your car working again is to hope that using a windows computer to maybe recover it works. This app is non-functional and they need to update it. But I doubt they will, their customer support is trash.

For someone that new to the self tune culture tuning my 2019 B9 s4 was a breeze. I mean I did the whole thing in 30 mins with my iPhone! Step by step instructions so simple and easy that a child could do this. It has built in safety features so you don’t blow your car up lol. And did I mention you can do it from your phone! Customer support is S Tier. Very responsive and Informative. I’m enjoying my stage one tune on E85 and I would definitely recommend it to my peers.

Able to do a lot more with app before the last update. Am just patiently waiting for it to come back so I can do a dsg adaptation and wastegate adaptation. Not sure why the adaptations got removed but it really stinks not having them. I’d rather go through the powerlink app rather than OBDeleven. Looking as I have no choice since they’ve been gone for about a month now. PLEASE bring them back ASAP, need my car to run smooth!!Other than that it’s awesome, I’ve flashed using both the app and laptop version. Laptop is definitely better and safer to do but not everyone has a windows laptop to run the program. Having a mobile scan tool thru the app is also great, you can do a big pull and can instantly check for codes.
