I don’t play games on my iPhone to experience the epitome of modern gaming/technology. I play them because it’s nice to be able to lay in bed, sit on the train, or have something to look at when I walk my dog at night. That being said, I also can’t stand cookie cutter, generic games that are marketed toward children so they can gouge every penny they can from their parents. Yes, this game costs money, but only if you enjoy the first chapter enough to continue playing. The developer obviously put a lot of hard work and time into this game, and it shows. If you care enough to read the story, you’ll be delighted by the surprisingly immersive narrative that unfolds throughout your time playing. Still, you can click through and ignore every line of text like I did my first play through, and still get that juicy time-killing rouge-ish goodness from finding new equips, trying new spells, grinding levels to unlock new perks, upgrading your ship, combing gems and minerals to create unique buffs or healing items. That’s only a little bit of what the game has to offer if you give it a chance. This review isn’t fake, or paid for by the way, since I hear a lot of complaints about games with such reviews. I was bored, killing time on the game and decided, “heck, this dude (the dev) definitely deserves some positive feedback,” seeing as how I’ve got like 30 hours on the game now. Try it out if you like rogue-ish games. I play a lot of pixel dungeon and this game exists in a realm somewhere between that and casual play.
