The app looks great, the sending and receiving is really smooth and easy. The key for weather or not you can get this going is can you fix the funding and withdrawing mechanism. Anyone that doesn’t get crypto want understand how to do it and won’t care to learn. You got to figure out how to hide that in the back ground, either buy partnering with some exchange so that in the back ground when they withdrawl, their crypto is sent to an exchange and the exchange pays the person, or by having an independent liquidity provider that does the same thing,. Either way you gotta make the funding/ withdrawingg more seamless. You get that this will be big but for now I can’t see anyone I know sending me money on this instead of Venmo or cash app.

In order to send and receive crypto using Signal you have to use the proprietary MOBY APP. THIS doesn't seem like a privacy focused app when it requests and requires your phone number your email and your full name. More like a complete scam to me. If they were true and honest, they would allow you to send and receive any crypto / coin to any address without a phone number your full name or an email address! Booooo MOBY and shame on Signal.

Thanks for the feedback. Customers sign up with their phone number and email to register and backup their account. This enables features like sending to a phone number, adding your contacts, and restoring your wallet through a PIN-based backup. In the future, we'd like to explore options that give our customers more flexibility based on their needs; including signing up without registering your information.

They keep touting on their website and the app description how “All you need is a phone number” to get started, but when initially setting up the app it asks for an email and prevents you from moving forward till you give out that info.
