Great game, while I could play it

So, to start off, its an amazing game. It’s rougelike segments are just like Hades, a mix of weapons and curses you can get to aid your journey. And when you combine it with taking care of a cult it makes the gameplay more meaningful. Not to mention all the unlockables yoy can get. But the mobile port feels rushed. Here is my issue. I had made decent progress into the game (1st bishop defeated, onto the 2nd, with another level done in the other two) when I go back to my cult. Nobody is moving. I command them and they stand still. I exit the game and I try to load back in. It is stuck on the loading screen. I let it run for 10 minutes, and its still loading. I uninstalled and reinstalled it, same issue. Not to mention how sometime the button inputs delay, and the attack radius are impossible to tell. Overall, its a good game, but the mobile-port feels rushed. No game on apple arcade should have a bug that bad.

To start, I’ve never played Cult of the Lamb until it was available on Apple Arcade, and I was hooked as soon as I started playing! The game overall runs great, quick load times, no frame rate issues on my 16 Pro Max. I’ve had two glitches so far. One, my followers die every single time I send them on a missionary, even high level followers with a 90%+ likelihood of success. Not the end of the world, but definitely makes resources more scarce. The other glitch has made the game basically unplayable, it will not load into the game AT ALL if internet is involved. I’ve uninstalled the game and reinstalled it, signed out of Game Center and back in, network reset my phone, soft reset my phone. Multiple times. Tried using cellular data, different WiFi networks. If there is internet, I can’t play. But even without internet my save is somehow gone despite having a local save? On airplane mode the game will load to the main menu, show my save and my progress, but when I load into the save, I am suddenly back on day one. Suuuper frustrating! I hope this issue is fixed soon, I’m itching to keep playing!

I’ve loved this game for a long time, and the moment I saw it come to Apple Arcade, I knew I had to get it for my phone.Unfortunately, in just my first hour of playing, I’ve already found 4 things that could be touched up on:1.) When placing down buildings, the sound is really grating and pulls the player out of the immersion of the game. I get the sound effect you’re going for, but it has to be dialed back.2.) When unlocking things (specifically with Divine Inspiration), the moment you click on an item, it will immediately start unlocking it. This makes it challenging to read the items before you pick one.3.) For some reason (this is more slice of life then anything else), exiting the “Read Thoughts” menu from the followers will pull you out of their menu completely, unlike the other options where clicking out will bring you back to the first menu (hopefully this makes sense).4.) Occasionally, I get a notification saying the game failed to save to my cloud. I get that this can happen every so often, but it’s worrying that it’s happening *this* often.Besides that, this game seems really great, has an amazing UI, as well as good button layout and is perfectly sized for mobile devices. If these things get fixed (and I find nothing else going forward), I’d love to give this game 5 stars!
