I really like the graphics and UI but ultimatiely the gameplay experience failed to satisfy me because I don't really find gameplay to be as satisfying as other similar games due to lack of in-game visual excitement. When I hit a ship, I'd want to feel good about it and a simple red box doesn't do it for me. Same goes for sinking any ships. I would love to see a mini explosion, animated sinking ship, top-down view of all ships (instead of current side view.) Despite above, I still highly recommend this Battleship-type game to everyone. I think the price is right especially since BattleAtSea comes with multiplayer LAN support and soon to offer online support in future free update.

If you got used to playing the Battlefleet webapp on your iPhone a year ago then this is a worthy upgrade. While simplistic, the graphics and sounds are good and add to the game. Gameplay includes both the more traditional Battleship gameplay, as well as the default option to be able to shoot up to 5 bombs at the same time. My only complaint is that while by no means "slow," I feel the game would be a little better if things were sped up slightly. The Wi-Fi play works great and definitely adds value to the game. Overall, you will not be disappointed if you are looking for a game of Battleship.

Biggest flaw in the game is the AI is a dumb as a rock. Let's say the computer opponent has sunk 4 of your 5 ships. And let's say the last ship you've got is your largest one, which takes up 5 squares. Well, the computer will spend the rest of its turns firing blindly looking for your final ship. But instead of narrowing the field down to spaces that can hide a size 5 ship, it spaces its attacks immediately next to previous attacks. OK, SOMETIMES it allows 1 space between attacks. But frequently it just chooses a space adjacent to previous attacks, which means unless it's already looking in the right area, you'll have as long as you need to hunt down the rest of their ships.If this AI were greatly improved, I'd give the game 4 stars for an otherwise clever implementation of a classic board game.

Please add cells firing. Add PT boat fires up to three cells, battleship five cells, submarine four cells, destroyer four cells and aircraft carrier up to eight cells. Add three sonars for aircraft carrier, PT boat, battleship, destroyer and submarine. Add firing cells flying, add three turns for each opponents and please allow us to change spots during the battle. Please allow us to choose any ship to open fire or launch. Please allow us to fire the same spot we have fired just incase the enemy moved their ships. Add action song from battleship fleet command for the main menu and for during the battle. Add ship noises but really really loud. Add islands and Naval Bases. Please allow us to choose any ship.
