Want the ultimate mobile guitar and bass tone studio?
AmpliTube gives you a massive collection of virtual gear that you can use to practice, play and record with world-class tone anytime and anywhere.
Build your own guitar or bass rig with up to 6 stompbox FX, an amplifier and cabinet with mics. Plug your instrument into your iPad with one of IK's interfaces like iRig 2 or iRig HD 2, and get ready to be blown away.
AmpliTube gives you 17 stompbox effects, 8 amplifiers, 10 speaker cabinets and 2 mics, a free Loop Drummer Rock groove pack and a 2-track recorder.
You can expand this via a massive library of over 150 amps and stompboxes from top brands like Fender™, Ampeg®, Orange®, Mesa/Boogie®, and many more, or unlock the rigs of your heroes with gear from Joe Satriani, Dimebag Darrell and Brian May.
Ready to hit the stage? AmpliTube’s Live Mode offers an optimized GUI for live use, with all the settings and controls you need in an easy-to-read format.
Control your virtual rig just like real gear: change presets, trigger FX, loops and more all right from your feet. AmpliTube pairs with iRig Stomp I/O for a powerful all-in-one stage rig, works wirelessly with iRig Blueboard, and supports other MIDI controllers as well.

I've been an AmpliTube for iOS user from the very beginning. I still use the app for clean to overdriven sounds with the Fender amp models, which I like very much. I also love the red compressor as an effect on vocals through AudioBus into MultiTrack DAW, and there is some magic in the mastering compressor too. I have found the drum looper to be very useful as well. However, I'm very unhappy that IK makes no mention of the studio IAP not working well on an iPad 2. I get horrible stuttering and clicking, which never happened until I purchased the studio add on, which has made recording anything with the drum looper and 3 tracks or more of guitars/bass/vocals impossible. An IK tech support representative seriously suggested buying a new iPad as a solution for the stuttering. Can you believe that? I run 16-18 tracks (effects/plugins with tracks frozen) on Auria with no stuttering. MultiTrack DAW also allows me to run 24 tracks simultaneously without stuttering. The AmpliTube studio's track "freezing" doesn't help at all. iPad 2 users beware. I would be remiss if I didn't add that IK's shameless self promotion and advertising banners still pop up asking me to buy their latest apps and interfaces when I open the app. If IK is reading this, give us the option to disable the pop up banners. It could look something like this, "Don't show this again".
Where is my MARSHALL BRANDED Slash gear I paid for!!!??!
Tonestones
This developer has gotten super lame. From adding and subtracting stuff from this app. To updates that are absolutely worthless, that sometimes happen a year or two between. Gear that I had paid for, suddenly disappears and is rebranded without any explanation or a heads up that this is happening. If you guys have licensing issues, that’s your own problem, what we paid for we should still be able to keep . I’m not happy with this whatsoever. Had I known this was going to happened I would not have updated. Now here I sit with my thumb up my but. Laf.
Belligerent Attitude
Gern Blasnton
iK is barely worth the trouble. Hideous attitude toward customers. This company literally takes back features and increases frustration on purpose. Their UI UX is a mess by design. Avoid like the plague. If you want to stay in iOS get Bias FX 1 or 2 with Bias Amp 2 while you still can or look for GigFast for .nam use complete with gate, drive, chorus, stereo echo and reverb.

This app is worthless!
What’s new:
• Fixed an issue that could prevent users from connecting iRig BlueBoard to the app
• General reliability improvements
