My son and daughter, 3 and 5, respectively, were wanting to learn how to write in Japanese. Instead of just learning the language by roman alphabet, I thought it would serve them better to start with hiragana... The rest is history! In less than one hour both were writing hiragana and memorizing it and loving this app!! I'm so excited because they are learning it so quickly AND enjoying it at the same time.... :). Next, katakana. ;)

Remember mee
We are a Japanese family just moved to US. I have to teach my daughter Japanese and brought so many educational tools and books from Japan. But this is the best tool so for. It combines letter practice and drawing and she finds something new effect everytime she plays.

Good app, but mispronounces "ね" as "に"

I think this app is great, except for one problem: it pronounces "ね" (ne) as "に" (ni). This might seem minor, but since this app teaches pronunciation and spelling it could be a big issue. The question is this: Do you want your child to learn the wrong pronunciation for a key element of the Hiragana and Katakana syllabary?I hope they fix this soon, because I don't want to have to "reprogram" my daughter after she learns this incorrect syllable.
