findERnow app is the fastest, most reliable emergency room (ER) finder on the app market today. The findERnow app will locate the closest ER with just one click by using the most comprehensive national database available. findERnow uses the iPhone’s GPS to quickly locate ERs anywhere in the U.S. You can select the closest ER or another nearby ER in a map or list format and can locate the closest ERs by driving time or by distance. Once you select an ER, you have 1-click access to directions to the ER and additional information about annual ER visit volume and whether the hospital has a verified adult trauma, adult burn, or stroke center. Using the “EMS View” feature, you can also see whether an adult trauma or stroke center has advanced or basic capabilities. The “EMS View” feature is designed for Emergency Medical Services personnel, but it may be viewed by anyone interested in learning more about these capabilities. You also have the ability to search online for more information about the ER. We have added a new feature that includes information about which ERs are Recognized Geriatric ERs. These ERs are more likely to be prepared to provide emergency care for geriatric patients. You can also quickly see if ERs are more likely to be prepared to provide emergency care for children, as these ERs are marked with a dark blue baby icon. You can also quickly access information about the % of annual visits from children, if the hospital has a verified pediatric trauma or pediatric burn center, if the ER has a separate pediatric area, and if the ER has pediatric emergency care coordinators. findERnow is ideal for travelers, especially those suffering with chronic medical conditions, or those traveling with friends or relatives with health problems. When I discovered this app, I knew that it would be a must have. Not only is it useful for those in healthcare, it is equally as useful to families and individuals alike. This app is handy, and it provides helpful information that may be life saving at a times notice. I recommended this to one of the families that I care for, and she was extremely glad that an app like this exists. I love the pediatric feature - it helps you become aware of the most appropriate hospitals near you to treat children - which is different than adult care! Easily will stay in my emergency folder, to use at any moment’s notice!

This app saves lives. We were on vacation in an unknown city far from home. A family member was having a serious allergic reaction to sunscreen. Breathing became difficult. This app showed us several ER’s in the area and we got to one and after being treated aggressively tragedy was avoided. This has saved lives. All of our family members have it on their phones. You’ll be glad you have it when you need it.

This app is extremely useful. I love that it shows you all types of emergency facilities that are nearby, even those not attached to a hospital. It made me feel a lot safer traveling in areas of the US I have never been to before. This app shows the closest ED by driving time, which is sometimes a better gauge than distance.

Contains a lot of helpful information and is easy to navigate! Especially great to see info on pediatric emergency care available in a centralized platform, considering my young niece. Appreciate all the efforts to keep the information on this app accurate and up-to-date, a useful app for everyone to have!
