In the first tab the next silent event that it finds in your iPhone calendars. This tab is not intended to be used to add or modify events. To add new event just open your Calendar application and add/modify your event. AutoSilent will automatically synchronize with your calendars.
On first run, make sure to allow AutoSilent to get your current location and allow it to get notifications.
AutoSilent synchronizes with your calendars and automatically silents your iDevice during meetings. AutoSilent automatically re-sets your iDevice back to Regular/Ring mode at the end of the meeting.
AutoSilent is a location based application. It can detect your current location and mute your iDevice automatically when you are at School or at the University.
AutoSilent will set your iDevice back to Regular/Ring mode when you leave those places.
Don’t miss an important call because you forget to un mute your phone.
Don’t be embarrassed by alerts that go on while you are in a meeting. Let AutoSilent do the job for you.
Calendar event is considered silent when:
1. Availability is busy
2. Not a whole day event
3. Event notes do not contain !ring
4. Event notes contain !silent
Calendar Tab – This tab shows you the next meeting that AutoSilent will automatically mute your iDevice
Locations Tab – Lists locations where AutoSilent automatically mutes your iDevice. You can click on any of the location rows and make modifications.
Settings Tab -
Calendar Silent: enables or disables mute for calendar events.
Location silent: enables or disables mute for Location events.
Ring/Silent Notification: Enables or disables notification alerts whenever iDevice changes its mode from mute to un mute and vice versa.
Next Silent Event: Specifies the number of days to look forward for the next Silent event in your calendar(s). (Defaults to 30 days)
Location Radius: Specifies the radius where AutoSilent checks for location events. (Defaults to 500 meters)
Calendar: Selects the calendar to check for calendar events. (Defaults to ALL calendars)
Silent Out Of Office: Silence the phone during "Out Of Office" events.
Keep Mute Status: When selected AutoSilent will not change your iDevice to ring mode if it was silent before event was started.
Only !silent events: AutoSilent will only look for !silent events in your selected calendars.
Mute on WiFi network: put _all for all WiFi networks or the WiFi name that will be used by AutoSilent to mute your device once you are connected to that network. AutoSilent will unmute your device once you are disconnected from that network.
Battery Disclaimer:
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
When I first installed the app I was only using the timer option. I turned off locations. App would not turn off after X amount of minutes. After contacting tech support it was learned that I needed to have location active always even if I was just using the timer function. Since then the app has worked perfectly. I have since added schedules to turn my iOS device off at night. Then I started having extreme battery drain for the app. For some reason that is no longer a problem. Might have been fixed by an update of the app or of the iOS.Overall I like the app. It works as advertised. And I found tech-support superb. The only suggestion I have is perhaps the prompts that explain the apps configuration could be improved.

This AutoSilent program does just what I want it to do. It turns my iPhone’s ringer off at a designated time and turns it back on at a designated time. I do not use the location feature so have location turned off. I use the DND feature of the iPhone to turn the ringer off at 11:00 pm and on at 8:00am. I have an iPhone XR and I use it with a Google calendar, but it syncs with the Apple calendar which syncs with this program. I had a couple of questions setting it up, but my emails were responded to very promptly giving me the information I needed to set the program up correctly. I highly recommend this AutoSilent program to any one who wants to be certain their iPhone does not ring right in the middle of a meeting, play, church, etc., but also turns the ring feature back on when the event is over. I have had it working for a couple of weeks now and it has never failed to turn the ringer off and back on multiple times each day.

As far as I can tell, there is no other app in the iOS universe that does what this app does. I am a retired pastor, and nothing has bothered me more than having someone's cell-phone go off with the "Star Wars Theme" in the middle of my Sunday morning prayer. Even worse, when it's my own phone!!! AutoSilent allows muting (or UN-muting!) by GPS location, by caLendar event, by repeating schedule, or by one-off timer set for whatever time you determine.You can even set the radius around a location within which you wany your phone to be muted.The authoreis responsive to suggestions, and you won't be dissapointed with this well-designed and highly useful app.[Late addition:. A problem showed up with iOS 11, and the author worked overtime to resolve it. I wish every vendor were as committed to product excellence and customer support!
Love this app but too pricey

I’ve been using this app for a while and just found that it’s gone to subscription pricing. I love that I don’t have to remember to turn on and off silent mode when I go to work and can use the timer for off site meetings. I can’t believe Focus on my phone doesn’t just have silent versus blocking notifications. I find it very useful but would rather pay a moderate lump sum to buy. I don’t think I can pay $2 every month for it. I’ll see how long I can live without it.
