This application is for beginner and intermediate anglers who want to have access to a quick surf fishing assistant. This quick reference will help find and catch more fish. It is designed primarily for saltwater fishing, for those who are angling from the surf, piers or rock jetties. The interface queries for several "conditions", then posts results based on tide, surf, weather, wind, water clarity and more. The results page tells anglers where to fish, the best bait to use, color, size, sound, line type, direction, location, best fish to target and more. It also has a library with details on the most common sportfish being targeted in saltwater. There is also a section outlining tackle tips, fishing notes, saltwater rigs and more. Finally, there's a section to save your largest catch with info like where it was caught, the length, weight, bait used, and more.
I am not an experienced salt water fisherman but I can appreciate the accumulation of knowledge available through this app. These are the basics that can save a lot of time for an angler who is starting out. The app layout is easy to use and covers most of the initial questions a fisherman has. - Freshwater Fishman.
Great, for beginners...

Once I saw this app it was cheap and look ok. After I got this app I explored it a bit and quickly realized that I could easily make many of these interpretations on my own but I have fished for a while for some one coming to visit Florida or any costal state that doesn’t fish much this app is great! If the developers can make the app in a future update also for more advanced anglers than that would change my whole perspective and I will put a five star but until then I will give it only a 3 star.

Waste of money. Application provides suggestions for the same conditions. Disappointed.

I bought this app while I am on a charter boat out in the Gulf of Mexico in Florida. I am a novice saltwater angler and was hoping this app would provide me a lot more information regarding what it was I was catching. For instance, today is the first day of the Red Snapper season, yet this apps saltwater fish library doesn't list Red Snapper, Grouper, Trigger, Amber Jacks, or many of the more popular types of fish common to this area. So what looks to be the start of an app that could be very useful, has a long way to go before I would say it has lived up to its potential.
The latest revision of Saltwater Angler has a cleaner look, works faster on the latest OS, and has new information and tips to give anglers a better toolbox to work with. Don't let a tough bite get you down, pop up this app and let it help you find the fish. Utilizing the latest iPhone and iPad graphics, Saltwater Angler has never been as smooth and easy to use as it is now. Additional items have been added to the library and equipment, and the limited fish log was removed. This new release was a long time coming, but V5.0 is a great updated platform relevant for years to come.
