This game is basically a dual-facing game: a front-facing terraforming game & a back-facing PvP game.It’s more similar to a PC game than an iPhone game, in complexity of variables at play.The ad that got me to download the game was highly misleading — and made it seem like you choose your character/traits/etcetera.You do not. You’re forced into one character to start and then kind of dumped with other characters to add. But the main storyline never moves from the MC you were forced to choose at the beginning. And unlocking the characters they had in the ads, that made the game seem compelling, are very hard to unlock. It either requires a lot of grinding — keeping your face on their app, hoping you’ll cave and spend IRL money — or, as I said, spending IRL money.There are resources you can get for free, but you’re forced to watch ads for those. It’s not a game I would recommend for 12 - 17 years old because: 1) Most of the free resources you can gain have to be assisted through Clubs 2) Clubs have messaging features; including private ones. Gamers 12-17 years old don’t really need to have gamers 30+ years old in their inbox. There’s a lot of metagaming involved in really succeeding in the game, and it makes the game challenging and even fun. But sometimes far too much grind.The thing about making a game that keeps people playing is keeping its “grindy-ness” down so they don’t experience behavioral extinction, and remove the game from their phone in frustration. I still give it a 4* rating for players 25+ years old with good impulse control.

Ok, after everything I experienced with the game today. I had to come here and wrote something. I am so peeved that you’re using the money you’ve gotten from customers to fix cosmetic things, that have no business being fixed. There are constant bugs; the map glitches, or titles spaces appear blank, or points disappear. The balance between what I personally have given since I began this game, and the actual solutions you have given for bugs, is absolutely incredibly one sided (on my side). I know I gave way less to this game than others, but now you’re ruining the art, and new players quit the day they try the game.. because the issues being brought up are not actively being improved. We pay / paid you to work the game for us. AND you have had multiple VOLUNTEER for FREE to help you, and you said no.. I would ask for every penny back, transfer my club to one of my vice presidents.. but the tap tap, keeps my brain occupied when needed. I have gone from playing this for hours, to mere minutes at a time. I would be telling people to play, and would be wayyyy more into all the events and quests.. but I am still constantly refreshing the game just to see things on the map. Or things take to much time, or cost not equal to reward. (Spending gems on shields, etc.) Pleassssssssseeeeeeee puhhhhleasssssseeeeee, 1) revert the toxic waste colors of vespas to what they were before, 2) shrink the furries so they’re not blocking two tiles behind them, 3) balance costs and rewards/payouts, 4) finally - prioritize ACTUAL inconveniences, like map glitches, vs cosmetics that 100% were fine before. If bugs were being properly handled, this review would be a lot different, and higher stars. But we as a whole have been repeatedly asking for you to prioritize.. this is a collective response I have seen in my club and realm.

I’ve been playing for almost a year and I’m done. The game started out fun but the PvP toxic bullies who are mostly whales who pay to win make this game near impossible to enjoy if you aren’t prepared to spend a ton of money…and I mean a TON (think hundreds to thousands). Which is sad because the game would be amazing if ATA wouldn’t be so greedy and if they’d actually fix the issues that players have identified for them. ATA says they pride themselves on creating social communities in free to play games, but they’ve strayed from that vision. They also don’t listen to their player feedback (yes even on Discord which their replies will say to do). I don’t even know where to begin: cluttered UI, numerous typos, impossible raids, outrageously priced items/heroes, poor communication, icky devs (Jordan), no opt-out of PvP, toxic chat with no support even after “report”, inconsistency with design, poor event descriptions, etc. I’m done. I only stayed this long because I liked my club. But I’m moving on. Do better ATA. And if you’ve read this long gamer…don’t do it. There are better free to play or affordable game options with less toxic communities and more responsive devs.

I’m redoing my review of this game. The company is called thinking ape. I don’t understand why they need to insult primates. These developers are about as intelligent as what comes out the south end of a north bound ape. I have never in my life seen a game cater to bullying. The bullying is out of control. Unless you are able to get into the top 3-4 clubs you can expect daily hits and rallies from people who individually are many times more powerful than you. There’s this stupid realm wrath, what a flipping joke. It prohibits you from putting up a shield for awhile. Awesome, the bullies honestly care since nobody is able to stand up to them. They don’t need to fear a lack of a shield. When you teleport away to hide there are nice blue dashed lines leading the bullies right to where you’re going, how convenient for them. I cannot figure out how to give this game 0 stars. It started out really fun. My guess is that the developers know as much about ethics as the bullies. I seriously hope this game goes bust and the company loses a fortune on it. I seriously recommend passing this game over.
