I didn’t realize how many subscriptions I had even though I had them in my budget. However I was only tracking the monthly fees and not all of the yearly subs. So I was shocked when I got them all in one place. I like the simplicity of the app. It has one job and does it fairly well. I don’t like having to find an icon for each sub. It would be better if there was a bank of generic icons to choose from if one doesn’t want to search for icons. It’s also a little confusing when entering an subscription that lasts for an extended amount of time (such as a year) but is billed monthly. It’s not clear in the summary of a subscription if it’s a monthly subscription or a yearly (or 6 months, whatever) subscription that is charged monthly. But overall it’s a pretty good app and I will continue to use it.

I like the layout and clean design a lot. However, there needs to have a way to create a new subscription entry without limiting to only uploading images from photo library for the icon. It would be useful to be able to select icon file from downloads or Files location.

We are already aware of this lack in functionality, as several other users have reported the same. We will no longer require uploading a picture with our upcoming version (1.5) and use a default subscription icon instead.

This app has saved me so much money - from reminding me to cancel free trials, to giving me a renewal notification a day before so I can change my plan. It helps me budget, and the 1 year plan is worth it because I can add more subscriptions than they provide. The app runs very smooth, I haven't had any issues with it. Overall I really love this app and it is immensly helpful to me and how I function day to day. It brings me financial comfort being able to track all my subscriptions so easily.

Love the app and look forward to future updates. But right now, it’s not that useful for me. It’s required to add a picture for each subscription. it would be nice to have a default or no image option so I don’t have to manually download logo files for each subscription service I want to add. On a similar note, perhaps having an in-app browser to search and download/save logo files for each subscription would be a nice feature.Additionally, not sure what the legalities are of this, but perhaps adding some common subscription services to start with during the on boarding that would include the logo files would help users get started easily with the app.Again, I was happy to see this on a promo, and I look forward to future updates! 🙂

You're totally right, we have received very similar feedback from several other users and realized that forcing people to upload pictures was never a good idea. We will switch to a default icon for all custom subscriptions in the next version of 99subs. Regarding the onboarding - that's an excellent idea, I can see that you know apps quite well 🙂 I am more than sure that we will add this to our onboarding flow. Thanks once again!
