Measure quickly before shooting and use the distance as a reference for manual focus to avoid misfocus from guesswork. - Engineering surveying & on-site records: an efficiency tool for job sites. Quickly get distances for objects or spaces, replacing tape measurements and speeding up early inspections and communication. - Home & space measurement: great for renovations and furniture shopping. Accurate - but limited use case

I think I finally see a use case: to measure the width of a room, set it on three second delay, put your phone flat against one wall, press the volume button, and then look at your phone to read the measurement. But that is not nearly as helpful as apps I’ve been using for years that let one measure objects in front of you by tapping at the beginning and then at the end of an object. A great enhancement would be to add this functionality.

I’m a bow shooter and need to know exact yardage to target. I’m already carrying my phone with me so this range finder is VERY handy compared to my actual range finder that I have to carry in my other pouch. Highly recommended!

The app itself is great, but it puzzles me that it only works on my iPhone for my purchase. For my iPad it asks me to pay again.
