I think what CoffeeSpace is doing is really great. Finding a cofounder is really hard, yet if you’re in a big city there are tons of people close to you looking to start companies. So you really just need the right place to find them. In-person events can work, but typically you need to go to lots of them before finding someone who’s “your type”. So being able to filter to match your needs is very important. This app is still new, but I’ve been surprised at the quality of features and performance given they just launched.

This app is a must-have for anyone serious about starting a startup business. The ability to filter by experience and commitment level is genius. Love the thoughtful design and features. Not only that, you’ll encounter great people willing to provide you with feedback that can enhance your product or idea. Iron sharpens iron , and you’ll will need as many sharpeners as possible, specifically if you’re on the pre-seed level.

I had a great experience with CoffeeSpace. I found my cofounder in the app, after that I moved over from Brazil to San Francisco so we could start the company, we raised a 1.5M pre-seed round and now have 6 people in our team and 160k in ARR. Hazim and the whole CoffeeSpace team are amazing, we have a special place for them in our hearts.
A Game—Not a Search Tool

If you’re are a “someday in the future” sort of founder looking for collaborators, I can see how this app can be entertaining and even calming. On the other hand, if you are aggressively building something and need someone to complement your skill set to push the product or service forward, I don’t see how trickling 10-50 names a day could help you to move forward with a speed of startup.Give me an open search engine, so I can be done and gone fast, but then you will not be able to change me the monthly fees for spoon feeding me a daily dose of “people I might like.”
