The 80th IATA Annual General Meeting (AGM) and World Air Transport Summit (WATS) takes place on 2-4 June 2024 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, hosted by Emirates. In the AGM, IATA’s member airlines (some 320) will validate the Association’s work and set its strategic direction for the coming year. In the WATS, which immediately follows the AGM, the industry’s most pressing issues are debated. The WATS will feature the CEO Insights Panel, as well as other expert discussions on crucial industry topics, such as how aviation will achieve its net zero carbon emissions by 2050 commitment. Another highlight of the WATS will be the Diversity and Inclusion Awards recognizing those who are leading in this area, including IATA’s 25by2025 initiative to improve aviation’s gender balance. Critically, the event is made possible with the generous sponsorship from the global community of IATA’s Strategic Partners and local industry supporters. In total, over one thousand delegates are expected to participate, including airline CEOs and senior executives, key regulators, leaders from across the air transport supply chain and media.
