Where Has This Been My Whole Life?

Wow! Pearls was absolutely worth loading. I have been watching SO many ads playing a newer word game that I have been "enjoying." I don't mind watching some advertisement because I understand app economics. That said, I have found myself bailing out of many videos because so many new apps are absurd at this point in history (my opinion). The "Win Real Cash" had all but killed my faith in anything decent popping up. From what I can see so far, Pearls is different. Great job developers! I did not have to give my life away or commit to anything immediately after loading. That is usually the case. Nope! I have been perusing and I believe this will be a fantastic new find! It looks like it will be great for those who want to read but struggle reading an entire book. I really like the concept of providing a shorter read without losing the full affect of having read the entire book. I, myself, am an avid reader. However, I like the idea/option of being able to check out book that I am interested in but not fully invested in. Pearls seems to combine both worlds. It opens things up for everyone in a fresh new way. I really dig the claim that I will be able to go from reading to audible without losing my place (and hopefully not having to go into another app for audible!) So here you go... this is the longest review that I have ever written for an app that I have not completely "pulled the pin" on yet. I am also pleased to be part of, what seems to be, the first 55 people (or so) to leave reviews. I WILL update once I make my purchase. Felt compelled to do this review on the front end to entice interested parties to check it out like I did.

I got Pearls because I was tired of everyone at work talking about books I swear I don't have time to read. Now, I can knock out the highlights in 15-20 minutes and join the convo. Plus, it's been great for catching up on the "classics" I've always meant to read but probably never would've. The app's design is super cute, all those pretty covers make me want to read (or listen) even when I'm half-asleep.Bonus: I listened to How to Talk to Anyone on my way to a blind date, and it saved me some awkward small talk!Would love to see more popular science books added!

I'm not the best reader—I get distracted within minutes and forget the story. But the audio feature has changed everything for me. Now I can listen to books while doing chores, which is super convenient. The app's ability to switch between reading and listening is great, and the variety of books keeps it interesting. I also love that it tracks your progress! Maybe it’s not the most important thing, but to me it’s really motivating and it helped me make reading a daily habit. I highly recommend it to other students like me:)

This is my new reading app. I can listen to book summaries while driving, which makes my commute waaaay more fun. It's like having a mini-library in my car! The app is super easy to use, and the summaries are pretty short, beats reading the entire thing i think. Some books take forever to get to the point and a summary will do it better. Now I get all the information from any of the books I've 'read' lol Highly recommend it if you want to feel smarter without the effort!
