    • The Triton Canister System is intended to be used with the Apple iPhone® and with the
list of validated canister types, software, hardware, and Hb ranges below. cHbL, the
Triton estimated Hb mass lost in canisters is derived from a proprietary software
algorithm that analyzes scans (i.e., images) of canisters to estimate the Hb
concentration contained within each canister. The HbL is subsequently calculated by
multiplying the Hb concentration by the user-entered volume in the canister. cEBL, the
Triton estimated cumulative blood volume lost into canisters, is calculated by dividing
the cHbL for each canister by a user-entered value for the laboratory serum derived Hb
of the patient at the time of the canister scan. cEBL is derived from both the cHbL and a
calculator whose inputs are adjustable by the user.
