I can only speak on the five series because I’ve had two of them, one of them. I broke by accident. The application that works with the cell phone only works for a series 3 now and the series 5 along with the earbuds. They are a game changer. The only thing I would change, however is the ability to change the customizable apps using the EQ on the app on the cell phone without having to sync everything to the computer all the time every time you wanna create, and you cannot play the sounds that you were trying to customize if you are on console, you cannot play them while you are using the app to customize the sounds to begin with so it’s guess work. It would be nice to be able to play the customizable. Sounds meaning all the sounds from the game that you were trying to customize using the EQ, it would be nice to be able to hear them while you are creating a new EQ. Maybe in the future I am hoping when they are done revamping every one of their headphones to use this app. Very strong battery power very strong audio capabilities. Overall a very good buy ,very good. Which is more than I can say for this voice to text on my phone lol so if there are typos, forgive me.

Arctis Nova Elite headset matched with a particular game sounds fantastic! As long as the app is continually updated as games are released, it makes choosing the right game setting as easy as choosing from the list. Keep updating the app, I’ll be very pleased. UPDATE for users - when updating the firmware, the headset and transmitter MUST be directly connected to your machine or laptop. If you use a usb hub, the headset will not be seen by the app and you will waste time trying to figure out why. The transmitter must be plugged into the USB 1 port to your machine, the headset usb-c port is in one of the ear cups behind the magnetic cover. Make sure you also have the latest app download.

Reread the title. I play games quite a bit and SteelSeries is the only brand I will use. The headsets are compatible with all platforms and are incredibly comfortable, while maintaining high performance and quality.The companion app allows you to choose from hundreds of audio presets based on nearly any game you can think of and even design your own presets. It’s very user friendly. I can also check my headset battery from my iPhone while playing games on my PlayStation. Hands down the best gaming headset and companion app on the market.

The app does NOT have a slider or mixer for chat and game mix. Such a simple feature that is missing is crazy to me. There is no wheel option on the headset and then no option on the app? What’s the point of the app then? It’s on the P.C. Version but not the app. I don’t sit at a desk and game, my p.c. is hooked up to my tv, I don’t want to get up and walk across the room every time I want adjust the chat / game mix. Turtle Beaches all offer the wheel on the headset. Steel Series doesn’t and then doesn’t provide in the mobile app. Why? Also no way to log in and access your presets from p.c. App. If you don’t get the $300 headset just stick to Turtle Beaches or another alternative. $60 headsets come with the chat / game mix wheel. What’s the point in calling it a gaming headset if it doesn’t have that feature. Other wise they are just headphones..
