Welcome to Blackpool’s all-singing, all-dancing museum of fun and entertainment.
This app will help you discover more about Blackpool’s history and heritage, both in the museum and whilst exploring Blackpool. Discover the stories of the comedians, the dancers, acrobats and characters who turned Blackpool into the home of show business.
This app will delve deeper into the people and stories that helped put Blackpool on the map as well as providing an audio-described tour of Showtown for the visually impaired.
The app uses Location Services and Bluetooth Low Energy to determine your location in the museum when the app is running in the background. It will trigger notifications when you are close to a point of interest. We have used Location Services and Bluetooth in as power-efficient way as possible. However, as with all apps that use location, please note that continued use of Location Services running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
