Simple Interrupted Suture (this is the most common suture that you'll be using in wound closure.) 3. Simple Buried Suture (this will be the main suture you'll use when putting some deeper sutures in before putting your skin suture in) 4. Vertical Mattress Suture (this is a very useful suture especially when wounds are hard to close if they're under a lot of tension or maybe there's a lot of swelling or anticipate swelling.
