I left the original review below a couple days after I signed up for a weekly subscription. While I can’t rule out user error as the source of some of my frustration, I still maintain that the app would only generate partial songs. As a result, I cancelled my subscription so that it would not renew after one week. While I still had a few days left on my subscription, I decided to give AI Jukebox another try. This time, I entered the lyrics of 4 verses and a chorus from one of my old songs. I’m happy to report that AI Jukebox created entire songs for most of the genres I selected. And, aside from the low quality of the AI songs, I was -and still am - blown away. My hats off to the developers for a great app. (and for being so attentive to user reviews). I realize that generating higher fidelity AI songs take more horsepower and higher bandwidth to transfer the song to the user, but I would be willing to pay more for the quality, and possibly even sign up for a yearly subscription. For now, I have renewed my weekly subscription, and I’ll continue to create new songs from my lyrics. Hopefully, the fidelity of the AI-generated songs will improve over time. ORIGINAL REVIEW (2 stars):I have tried to create 6 songs so far. The first 5 were kind of what I had in mind, but they all abruptly cut off anywhere from 15 seconds to 2 minutes. Not one song was completed. I just tried to create the 6th song, and I continue to get an error a few seconds after I press the Create button. This happens no matter what I try: different music styles, some with my lyrics, some with AI lyrics. The download song and lyrics selections are nice; now if I can just get one song finished… I’m glad I only signed up for one week.

$26 a Month for What? Feels Like a Creative Trap

I’ve been paying $26/month for Jukebox, and honestly, it feels like a ripoff. Yes, the sound quality is great, the vocals and music are impressive. That’s the only reason I’m giving this more than one star.But beyond that, it’s a frustrating experience. You get a very limited number of song generations, and once you hit that cap, you’re forced to wait weeks just to create again. For what they charge, it’s way too restrictive.What makes it worse is how controlling they are. You put in your own lyrics, guide the entire vibe, and shape the song but Jukebox still tells you what you can and can’t do with the result. And the truth is: they don’t even own the rights to the AI-generated audio. That’s the part that really doesn’t sit right.As a paying customer and a creator, I should be able to use my own work. Instead, I’m met with limitations from a platform that’s charging premium prices without offering true creative freedom.If you’re a serious artist or producer, I’d highly recommend Suno instead. It’s $10/month, gives you over 1,000 songs to generate, and actually respects your rights as a creator.Jukebox has potential but right now, it’s a polished product buried under greedy restrictions.

Catchy Tunes But….

The app generates some catchy tunes but kinks in the app make this a poor experience. I paid for one week which should have given me 20 songs to generate. It spits out two versions of each song (not the end of the world) but both versions count against your quota. A number of the songs were incomplete (just cut off in the middle of the song). Then, songs I didn’t generate started showing up in my library and they counted against my quota. I’ve tried 4 requests for support through the app and two emails to the customer service email address and I have not heard a response yet. Canceled my subscription.
