Predatory subscription

They use predatory subscription tactics. I don’t recall agreeing to a $50 yearly subscription immediately when getting this app. They must have required a free trial I didn’t know about and send no reminder or warning email before automatically charging you. Defaulting to an entire year subscription is wild work. The app also doesn’t let you edit the length of your period while you’re on it (ex five days instead of the usual seven) also no where to add that you’re breastfeeding which effects your cycle. The tips and recipes are very repetitive and you could get all the info you need in one month and then you’re paying for the same content over and over again.

The price, duration, and free trial are shown on the confirmation screen before subscribing, and Apple sends a receipt and manages renewal settings and reminders. We don’t have the ability to charge outside of what’s explicitly approved in the App Store.That said, we hear your feedback. Editing period length and adding breastfeeding status are valid needs and already on our roadmap. I can see this app being really great but its buggy. When selecting when you start your cycle, you have to click the day before your start day in order to select your true start date. Also, I wish that the app could sync up with health app because that’s where I have my previous data, it would be nice to have legacy data to help the app be more accurate. In conjunction with that, it would also be nice to have some sort of tracking for hormones, like if I wanted to measure my hormone levels throughout my cycle and I could input the data into the app and the app would then notate specifically where I am in my cycle instead of just using statistical averages.Update— had the app for a while now and had to go from 4 to 2 stars because it wont let me update the days I had my period!!??? So buggy honestly not worth the money I paid for in the subscription.

I downloaded this on a whim but didn’t expect to actually use it. Turns out it’s one of the few apps I open daily now. The way it breaks down your cycle into phases is super helpful. I’ve started timing my workouts and even some work tasks around how I’m feeling, and it’s made a difference in my focus and energy. I’m not trying to be perfect with it, but it’s nice having something that helps me listen to my body.

I signed up for the 7-day free trial, since it’s required in order to see what the app is like. I immediately knew I didn’t want to keep it so I tried to cancel my subscription. However, it’s somehow not associated with my Apple account so I have no way to cancel it. My settings in the app showed I was on a “free” plan, so thought maybe the subscription didn’t go through after all, and I deleted the app. Turns out, I’ve been charged. Now that I deleted the app I have no way to get back into it to get contact info without creating a different account and signing up for another “free trial” because they don’t have traditional sign-in information. Idk who designed this app, but the untraditional sign-in/account creation seems a bit fishy.
