The SAbERES mobile app allows users to receive climate change Ecosystem-Based Adaptation (EbA) measures specific to their location and productive model. It is designed to accompany the participants of the SAbERES project in Mexico but can be used by anyone who needs a system to log productive model activities and costs, but also wants to receive tips and suggestions to improve their productive model resilience to climate change.
The app helps its user to manage productive models by keeping track of all events registered on it and stored in the app, even future activities, where reminders can be set. Users also receive news and notifications from their local organization, the SAbERES project, as well as the bulletin from the agroclimatic round tables, with expected weather patterns and recommendations.
The app allows users to store images of their productive models and activities, as well as visualize these and their respective costs in a chronological order. It also allows users to interact with each other and ask questions to the SAbERES “AI”, where specific suggestions for a given productive model and location are shared.
The app is being developed by the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), an Austrian partner of the German International Climate Initiative (IKI) - funded SAbERES project.
