Discover nearby activities and meet like-minded people in real life. Drop a Beacon for sports, gaming, or study and build authentic connections in your local community.
Connect in the Real World with GlowPoint
Beacons is a location-based social platform designed to bridge the gap between digital interaction and real-world experiences. Unlike traditional social media apps that keep you behind a screen, Beacons encourages you to step outside and connect with like-minded individuals in your immediate area through shared activities and interests.
How It Works
The concept is simple: you drop a Beacon at your current location to invite others to join an activity, or you browse a live map to discover what is happening around you. Whether you are looking for a group to play Minecraft, partners for a tennis match, or a study circle at a local cafe, Beacons provides the tools to make it happen.
Key Features
Activity-Based Discovery: Filter nearby Beacons by categories such as Sports, Social, Study, and Gaming to find exactly what you are looking for.
Customizable Invitations: When creating a Beacon, you can specify the title, description, preferred group size, and even the target age range to ensure a perfect match for your activity.
Safety and Privacy: Beacons does not handle private messaging. Instead, it allows you to share your preferred social networks or contact information only once a connection has been established.
Real-Time Connections: Every Beacon comes with an expiration time, ensuring that the map only displays active and relevant opportunities for connection.
Experience More Together
Beacons is built for those who value authentic human connection. By focusing on shared goals and physical proximity, the app serves as a catalyst for new friendships and community building. Stop scrolling and start doing.
