I travel pretty often and always feel like I should know more of the local languages of the places I visit. I started to try to learn Chinese and French with this app and the scenario based methodology works pretty well. I’m not able to speak the language fluently at the end of a course but I essentially have enough to get by in a couple situations which makes me satisfied and keeps me motivated. The speaking is really helpful, I found duo lingo doesn’t let you speak enough and that’s how I learn best.

"Fluency is optional" summarizes the app very well. I love the focus on getting you to speak and use a new language in real life through real-life scenarios. It's never dull because you don't get stuck in the weeds with grammar and conjugations. This app just teaches you survival language skills you can effectively use whenever and wherever you are. Great idea and execution!

This is a great learning app. The AI or instructor embedded in the learning app slows you down when necessary as it understands that you may not have fully grasped the pronunciation, very thoughtful approach to language learning.
