This app is worse than the old version. Employees are no longer listed in order of seniority like before. Supervisors are mixed into the list. We cannot see any job details like we could on the previous app, and there’s no daily schedule by shift option to view the entire shift and all job notes/details that we could previously. Somehow they took a bad app and made the functionality and usability infinitely worse. This new version is actually ten steps backwards. The old app was clunky and archaic visually but functionality was great. This has zero functionality and still looks clunky with even fewer schedule viewing options. Hopefully they make vast improvements before the old app is phased out, until then I’m gonna use the old one. It’s almost as if the devs made the new app without any input from people who actually use the app and its functions.

I’ve been using VCS since I got to my job seven years ago. It is getting worse with each update. This latest installation makes it nearly impossible to see who is working a shift. It takes way too long for the information to load. Previously all the options were laid out on one page and easy to see. Now going through different tabs to find the “time off” option then wait for the page to load takes so long I’m better off calling into work and going sick. The messages tab its own page however clicking on the message consistently brings me to a white page with nothing on it. I have yet to sign up for an open shift in this app. Overall this app does nothing different than my google calendar which has my work schedule already uploaded to it. Stop sending e-mails about your golf outing and fix the app.

The previous app looked and was set up kind of archaic, but functionality was good. This app made things confusing and takes forever to load. Supervision used to be listed first in seniority, they are now mixed in an employee group. Checking a schedule now takes forever. I cannot mark all notifications as read, so I have to watch the notification bubbles, because I am not opening hundreds of notifications I don’t see on the web platform. Functionality is so much worse than the previous app.

I’ll echo what has been said, old app may have looked old but it works much better. The new app takes ages to load, schedules are no longer sorted by seniority and doesn’t even load the correct groups of people. That assumes it actually loads everyone, multiple times now it hasn’t even loaded the entire group of people selected. Overall they made it look more modern but either they have not actually finished the app or just plan to use the public as beta testers when they shut the old app down.
