This update improves GateMate Pro’s reliability and background arrival alerts, including better location monitoring, smoother notification handling, and improved support for saved gate locations. It also includes fixes for app permissions, and general stability improvements to make saving, editing, importing, and finding gate codes more dependable.

GateMate Pro 1.6 delivers major improvements to reliability, accuracy, and ease of use. Arrival Alerts have been completely upgraded to stay active and consistent even after days in the background, with smarter re-arming whenever the app is relaunched. Location handling is now significantly more accurate, fixing an issue where edited or imported gates could shift to your current location instead of using the correct coordinates. A new clipboard import feature allows you to instantly add shared gates, making code sharing easier than ever. Background permission handling has been enhanced to prevent rare crashes and ensure smooth operation when “Always” location access is granted. The map editor has also been improved for more precise pin placement and better search results.

This update makes arrival alerts smarter and more reliable with a brief dwell and cooldown so you’re notified once per place at the right time. Notifications are now grouped when multiple gates share a location—plus you’ll see “Unlock to see codes.” Face ID now runs automatically on launch to securely unlock your saved places. We also moved the “Enable Arrival Alerts” toggle to the top of Nearby Gates, tuned the default geofence radius for door/building accuracy (while still working great for airports), focused the experience on iPhone in portrait, and included permission improvements and general bug fixes for a smoother, more stable app.
