I’ve tried so many Bible apps, but Hooked on Scriptures is the first one that’s actually fun and keeps me coming back every day. The games are creative and meaningful—especially the daily Word game and the quizzes that unlock as you read. I love the social feed too—it feels like a safe space to share thoughts, scriptures, and encouragement with others.It’s perfect for individuals, but I could also see this being amazing for church groups or youth ministries. This app has honestly helped me stay consistent in my scripture study and made it something I look forward to. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to deepen their faith in a fun, engaging way!

Hooked on Scriptures has helped me stay on track with my daily scripture study! I’m enjoying the games as well. Everyday when I complete my daily goal I get a notification that some games are unlocked for me. The games are based on what I have been reading. It’s a great way to gauge if I’m comprehending what I’m reading in the Scriptures. The Word game and the Trivia are my two favorites, I also like the crossword puzzle, but I’ve always found crossword puzzles a bit challenging!

Since the pandemic, I had drifted away from the scriptures and felt disconnected from God. This app has helped me get back on track—its fun, interactive approach to Bible study with friends has made reconnecting with my faith truly enjoyable.

The main reason for 3 stars is I couldn’t figure out how to explore the app without agreeing to a two week free trial of $0.99 then $0.99 a month. Maybe I did it wrong because none of the reviews mention this. It’s all positive reviews. I understand the app is new but I feel lots of people will not want to do a trial just to look at the app and will abandon the app. I will take another look at the app in a few months or so to let it grow more. The app is off to a good start.
