The Iowa State University (ISU) College of Engineering (COE) augmented reality (AR) application offers an interactive way for prospective students to explore life at Iowa State University. The AR application designed by the VRAC at ISU brings key information from the COE admissions materials directly into a space in front of the user wherever they are located.
Prospective students and their families can explore modules including:
- Engineering student organizations
- Campus statistics and university facts
- Research opportunities
- Academic programs and admissions information
- Scholarships, tuition, and application details
- Campus bus routes and transportation
Application Instructions:
1) Open the app and tap Start.
2) Read through the instructions on the top of the screen.
3) Point your camera slightly downward in a well-lit and open area.
4) When the placement outline appears, tap the screen.
- Note: If you are having trouble getting the outline to appear, try angling the camera differently or gently tapping the screen to try and get it to appear.
5) Hit the Confirm button.
6) Interact with the virtual content and explore the modules.
