Search and type hieroglyphs from Sir Alan Gardiner's Middle Egyptian sign list into your apps and documents. The keyboard supports the signs listed in Gardiner's "Egyptian Grammar", third edition
You can currently search over 860 curated hieroglyphs using a variety of search terms:
- a pronunciation, like ankh
- a transliteration (Leiden Unified Transliteration)
- a Gardiner sign list reference, like S34
- an MdC mnemonic or transliteration, like anx
- a Unicode character, like the ankh symbol
- a Unicode codepoint, like U+132F9
- what a sign depicts, like sandal (English language only)
- what a sign means, like life force (English language only)
- signs that a glyph is "part of", for instance search for rulers holding an ankh
- a number, to see it rendered in hieroglyphs
