Embarrasingly, I've come to depend on this type of keyboard, so to have someone recreate, optimize for iOS, bring back the clipboard controls, and offer all these customization features for free? Could be perfect but for one thing.

For some people, there was one brick wall in the way of learningmessagease. It made no sense to you try it. Once you at least kind of know where all the letters are, for some reason, not seeing them anymore removing the clutter but then you get that little ball that they had in the middle of the screen, don’t ask me why, but that’s when you learn it and you get fast. Please make it so you can hide everything including the symbols. Maybe put a little round ball in the center like they did. Maybe even let there be a feature to toggle that on and off for people who like nothing. But when you get to that point where you know where everything is, locating the center is still weird with all that clutter on the keyboard once you don’t need it anymore. Please, allow the ability to clear everything out of the center, letters, symbols, everything. Then, let there be a little ball in the center you can toggle on it off, maybe even a fine grid that you can toggle on and off.

I was so frustrated with MessagEase becoming more and more unusable with each new version of iOS - and had to stop using in altogether earlier this year as it keeps resizing to 80% screen height. iOS default keyboard is impossible to type on. Gesture detection with Keyz feels slightly off but it is still an almost perfect replica, and I appreciate the much improved cursor and delete control. Would happily give it 5 stars if some frustrating bugs are fixed: 1) some settings don't persist across app restarts - swipe length, layouts - so typing experience slightly breaks every now and then; 2) would be good if the app didn't start with 5 default layouts - start with one and let users add ones they need, custom or preset. Default layouts can be deleted in settings but come back after ios unloads the app; 3) swipe-and-return gestures can overshoot and instead render the swipe in the other direction (i.e. swipe-and-return down from "o" in English I expect D but sometimes get u)
