AltID is your digital ID and credentials app allowing you to store your digital credentials in one place. The app’s features are determined by the credentials you add. To begin with, you can add a Proof of Age and a Photo ID card. More credentials will be available in the future.
Proof of Age
With the Proof of Age, you can verify that you meet a specific age requirement e.g. that you are 15 or 18 years old or over, or that you are at the pensionable age.
You don't share any personal details such as your CPR-number or your exact age. With the Proof of Age, you can confirm your age while remaining completely anonymous.
Photo ID card
Your Photo ID card has your name, date of birth, place of birth, nationality, address, and CPR-number.
When using your Photo ID card, you choose how much of this information you want to share.
Protect your information with AltID
When using AltID, you are in control of where your information is shared. You decide what to share and with whom.
AltID is designed to protect your privacy and personal details to the highest degree. A key feature of AltID is that your credentials are stored locally on your phone. This means that the credential is your own personal copy.
You can share credentials in 3 ways:
1. Show the QR code to a scanner.
2. Receive a request and swipe to share – as you know from MitID.
3. Show the credential to an employee.
Ratings & Reviews
This update of AltID includes:
• Added support for attaching a photo when scanning an ID card.
• Added an option to manually enter passport details as an alternative to scanning the passport data page.
• Improved user experience when scanning the passport data page in landscape mode.
• Added support for choosing between Face ID and a PIN code. If Face ID is enabled on the device, it will automatically be used in the app.
• Improved VoiceOver experience throughout the app, including when adding evidence and scanning a passport chip.
• Improved user experience when scanning another person's AltID and removing a photo from the app.
• Updated onboarding and passport scanning videos.
