All around this app is the best just one minor thing is the zooming in and out could be better navigation wise because it’s hard to get a good position for capturing the image

Just downloaded the CoinKnow app and tried it out. Took pictures of 6 coins, then canceled the “free subscription”. The following list is in order of my personal frustration attempting to use the app. 1) the camera is awful. It doesn’t zoom automatically, and efforts to make not blurry or enlarge are futile. In addition, there’s a misleading message above the frame telling the user to center the coin within the frame. Naturally, the user then spends an exorbitant amount of time trying to get the picture just right until it becomes obvious the message doesn’t ever go away. 2) since I didn’t save my first coin to a collection, and I was given a value of over $30, I searched for it in the history, but it was nowhere to be found. I took a second picture, and then was given a value of $2.00. 3) I downloaded the app because it’s advertised as detecting irregularities. However, in the description of each coin, there wasn’t any mention of irregularities. I believe, at the very least, the app should provide what errors have been found on that coin, and if any of them were detected on this one.4) when finished with the specific coin, to go back to the main menu to capture a new coin, the user has to manually scroll back to the top and select the back arrow more than once. The app would be improved if rather than manually going all the way back to the main menus, an obvious user button was added for “new coin”. My time is too valuable to consider this app. Thank you,

Update: I discovered that if you ignore the initial message about the photo and just flip the coin over and take another photo … the app works. Original message: Downloaded app and took over 50 photos. App did not like any of the photos. Tried different lighting, different backgrounds, and different coins. Nothing worked. Canceled subscription (free trial) within 10 minutes. Zero stars if that was an option.

I don’t know who rated this app with four stars. The only things this app does correctly is snap a photo (not a good one at that) and charge you for the subscription. Anyone opting to use this app with a subscription, beware. Those who have left a rating over one star is either paid to do so or is delusional. To the app maker,Don’t bother responding with an excuse. Because I didn’t pay for it. If I had, that would be a different story.
