This app is really unique. It’s interesting how you talk to the AI coach. It was fun for me to think about what my goals are, and what my priorities are. I like the plan that it gave me. You can tell it’s a pretty new app, there are still some things they are ironing out, but overall, really interesting and much better than using ChatGPT to generate strength training sessions.I was interested in light strength training that I could do at home on my yoga mat, to compliment the runs that I go on. The visual guides that it gives you are really helpful for understanding how to do the moves. I would recommend, especially for beginners interested in doing strength training!

I can excuse some of the issues due to this being a testing period, but my main issues I fear are going to be overlooked. No matter what I’ve told tailor about my goals I get suboptimal workouts that are definitely not science based. As an advanced lifter 5 sets of 10 pushups is not a workout, and I told tailor my experience level. And even if I was a beginner I’d drop sets and add intensity as 5 sets of 10 wastes time for less gains. Now tailor does listen somewhat but when I asked for more intensity upping to 5 sets of 12 on pushups doesn’t do much.For more info, I said strength and getting shredded were my goals. Strength rep and set ranges are usually 1-3 sets of 3-8 reps nearing but not hitting failureTo build muscle mass/shredded look it’s 1-3 sets of failure or close to failure in the 8-12 rep range reaching for hypertrophy. The workouts I’ve seen aren’t worth my time and if I were a beginner they might be OK for a minute but far from the best. Now this review won’t be all negative. If someone just wants to do workouts here or there to stay active this is good. It’s not super intense and just enough to get some health benefit and mild gains for day to day.Tailor seem to also listen well sometimes but suffers from overfitting or whatever you call it when they the AI focuses on one thing too much. Anyways, I see so much potential but it isn’t be tapped into yet.

iFit Personal Trainer is a game changer! The workouts are so personalized, the plans are progressive and so easy to follow along! I’ve gotten stronger and been able to stay so much more consistent since starting to use it. Highly recommend!
