Making things is scientifically good for your brain. Trade scrolling for 3 minutes of creative play — no likes, no algo, no pressure. Just something genuinely yours.
Turn your phone time into creative play. Making things — anything — is scientifically good for your brain. NoomaLooma gives you 3 minutes to feel it.
Every day, you get a Noodle — a short, playful creative challenge designed to fit inside a coffee break, a commute, or the five minutes before your next meeting. No experience needed. No right answers. Just you, your phone, and something genuinely fun to make.
Why creativity? Neuroscience has known for years what wellness culture keeps ignoring: creative play lowers stress hormones and triggers dopamine — no artistic talent required. The part of you that made things as a kid didn't disappear. Somewhere along the way you just lost permission to play. NoomaLooma gives it back.
What's a Noodle? Draw something. Notice something. Imagine something. Riff on something. Each one is AI-sparked and entirely, wonderfully human. Done before you've had time to second-guess yourself.
You don't have to be an artist. You don't have to be a writer. You just have to be willing to play.
How it works: Open NoomaLooma when you'd normally reach for social media. You'll find your daily Noodle waiting. Complete the challenge — usually in 3 to 5 minutes. Then unlock the community wall and see what everyone else made from the same prompt. Browsing what others created isn't passive — it's part of the play. Come back tomorrow and do it again. Build your creative habit by playing every day.
Small, joyful, repeatable.
Who it's for? NoomaLooma is built for the person who: → Needs a study break that doesn't turn into a 3-hour doomscroll → Used to be creative and lost the thread somewhere in adulthood → Wants to do something meaningful with phone time but doesn't know what → Has tried meditation apps but finds sitting still unbearable → Believes there's a version of screen time that actually feels good
What makes it different? Most wellness apps tell you to breathe. NoomaLooma tells you to make something. Most creativity apps are built for people who already call themselves artists. NoomaLooma is built for everyone who stopped. Our Noodles are designed around the JAMMA framework — Joyful, Accessible, Micro, Messy, and Alive — because the best creative practice isn't precious or perfect. It's a little weird, a little surprising, and done before you've had time to second-guess yourself.
Features → Free to download and play — no catch, no paywall on your daily Noodle → Fresh daily Noodle delivered every morning → 3–5 minute format designed for real life, not ideal life → AI-powered prompts designed to spark human creativity → Complete your Noodle to unlock the community wall — then play in others' creativity too → Streak tracking to build your creative habit, day by day → Fave your favorite noomies and cheer on your creative crew
More modes of play — coming soon Noodle is just the beginning. NoomaLooma is building an entire world of creative play modes — each one a different way to make something joyful with your phone time. Moodle — creative calm for your mood Hoodle — play creatively with others Shh...oodle — put your phone down for a playful detox.
From the team NoomaLooma is co-founded by Piera Gelardi, Refinery29 co-founder and author of The Playful Way (HarperCollins), and Lakshmi Narayanee, a big tech executive who scaled products to 500M+ users. Our wildly different paths converged around one question: what does it look like when people are truly, joyfully alive? The answer was always the same. It looked like play.
Ready to make something? Download NoomaLooma and do your first Noodle today. It takes 3 minutes. You'll be surprised what shows up.

Every time I feel overstimulated or scrolling too much I used to think I just needed to lay on the couch and wait until the feeling passed.. seriously! But now, getting alerts for just 3 mins or so a day to have a creative play break really created changes that I didn’t know were possible! I feel a huge sense of relief and also curiosity anytime I am done with the daily prompt .. and find that it has a positive impact throughout my day. Love this app and everything they’re doing!!!!

feels like being a kid online again

I feel like we’ve kind of forgotten that apps can actually be fun. Not just useful or addictive, but actually enjoyable to use. noomalooma reminded me of that.It feels like a little nudge to be more present. The prompts make you notice things you’d normally walk past or ignore, and it just puts you in a more curious, joyful headspace. It also reminds me of being a kid on the internet, like playing simple games on your family computer while your best friend is on theirs. That same light, playful energy where you’re just exploring for no real reason. Also think it’s really cool they don’t just exist as an app, they host IRL events too. It actually feels aligned with what they’re about, which is connection, not just more screen time.Overall it just is super fun and as an early user, I can’t wait to see how it evolves even more! 🩷❤️🧡💛💚🩵

I didn't realize how much I needed this. NoomaLooma completely cured my doomscrolling habit! It's such a beautifully designed, stress-free space to just doodle and relax. The daily prompts mean you never get creator's block, and the clever brain poke after every doodle challenge you to keep the creativity flowing. It really helps you 'live the playful way.' It’s a pure creative joy in your pocket. Instead of mindless scrolling, I actually look forward to the daily doodling prompts. The UI alone is a daily serotonin boost. Absolutely love it!

Quick sparks for my brain

Am loving this series of light, almost mindless quick activities to infuse mindfulness and presence and wake my brain up! Always curious about how other people are interpreting the challenges and that gives me more ideas to make more things. As someone who takes my photography and craft seriously, this is such a pressure-free way to activate my creative muscles. And also explore new ones that I might not naturally lean into… such a cool find! Looking forward to more!
