Sign-Up Sheets (New) Coordinate group logistics right in the app. Leaders can create sign-up sheets for breakfast rotations, potluck supplies, volunteer lists — anything the group needs. Members sign up with one tap. Two types: date lists for recurring things like weekly breakfast duty, and item lists for one-time supply sign-ups. Leaders can bulk-add weeks of dates at once, assign members to slots, and pin important sheets to the top. Members can add notes to their sign-ups so the group knows what to expect. Polls (New) Leaders can create polls to gather their group's input on anything — meeting times, study topics, you name it. Members vote directly from the app. Polls can be single or multiple choice, anonymous or open, and timed or indefinite. Leaders can hide results until the poll closes so early votes don't influence later ones. Anonymous votes are permanent and can't be changed — nobody, not even the leader, can see who voted for what. Home Screen Your home feed now shows sign-up reminders when you're up in the next 2 days, and new polls that need your vote. Each section — Group Status, Sign-Ups, Polls, and Announcements — can be collapsed or expanded, and your preference is remembered between sessions. Notifications Get a push notification and email 2 days before your signed-up date. Get notified when new polls are created and when polls close with results. All notification types can be customized per-group in Settings. Find Your Church Search for your church by name — no join code needed. If your church is on Flock, request to join with one tap. If it's not listed yet, you can let us know or share Flock directly with your church leader. While you wait for approval, a status card on your home screen keeps you updated. And if your church admin invites you directly, you'll see an invitation card ready to accept. Account & Signup Email verification is now part of signup to keep accounts secure. If your church is already on Flock, we'll catch it during setup so you can join instead of creating a duplicate. Small polish: you can now paste verification codes instead of typing each digit. For Admins A new Join Requests page in the admin panel lets you approve or decline requests with one click. A badge on the sidebar shows pending requests, and you'll get a reminder if any sit unanswered for 48 hours.

Account & Profile Bot protection on signup — A quick, automatic verification now runs when you create an account. No puzzles or CAPTCHAs — it happens in about a second. This keeps spam accounts and bots out of your church community. Bug Fixes Announcement comment counts now update correctly — Previously, comment counts on announcements could get stuck when someone other than the author commented. Now they update reliably.

Groups & Members Smart placeholder matching when joining with a code — If a leader already added you by name before you joined, Flock now recognizes you and asks "Is this you?" — linking your account to your existing attendance history. Even handles nicknames (e.g., "Dick" → "Richard", "Bill" → "William") using AI matching. New member welcome experience — Users who sign up but haven't joined a group yet now see a friendly welcome screen on every tab, with clear paths to either join a group (with an explanation of what a join code is) or create a new organization. New group "settling in" period — Newly created groups now show a "New" status for 12 weeks instead of using event counts, giving groups time to build history before health scores kick in. Chat & Messaging Unread badges now show what matters — Chat and Prayer tab badges now reflect your current group only, so you're not distracted by activity in other groups. The app icon badge still shows the total so you know when something's happening elsewhere. Red dot on group name — When other groups have unread items, a small indicator appears on your group name in the header, nudging you to check the group switcher. Unread badges in group & org switchers — The group selector and org switcher now show per-group and per-org unread counts, so you can see at a glance where the conversation is.

Prayer Lift — Long-lasting prayers don't have to fade into the background. Tap "Lift Up" on your own prayer to give it a warm glow and float it to the top of your group's prayer list for 48 hours. Your group will know you still need prayer without you having to resubmit.
