Living alone doesn’t mean being isolated. Alive is a lightweight safety-status tool designed for people who live alone. Through a non-intrusive mechanism of check-ins + anomaly alerts + emergency contacts, it adds an invisible layer of protection to your solo life. When you’re fine, it’s almost invisible; when you go silent, it sends a timely alert on your behalf.

Core features
Countdown check-ins
Set your check-in interval (e.g., 24 hours / 48 hours / custom). Each time you open the app or tap Check In, it counts as a check-in and resets the countdown.
Quiet protection, gentle reminders
A minimalist, starry interface with a calming breathing light effect that stays out of your way. When you’re nearing timeout or forget to check in, the system uses lightweight reminders to bring your attention back.
Automatic notifications for missed check-ins
When the countdown hits zero or you miss check-ins for several days, Alive will, according to your settings, automatically email your preset emergency contacts with your latest status and a preset message, delivering an alert at the first opportunity. Supports multiple contacts with optional tiered escalation.
Define your safety boundaries
You decide what counts as “abnormal”: check-in interval, grace period, reminder frequency, night-time Do Not Disturb, and more—all flexible to fit your routine.
Ready out of the box, zero learning curve
No sign-up or login. On first launch, enter the names and emails of your emergency contacts to get started. After that, one tap a day completes your check-in; background monitoring handles the rest without changing your habits.
Privacy and security
No location tracking; no collection of data unrelated to core functionality
Contact details and check-in records are encrypted at rest; all transmissions are encrypted
Preset messages can be stored locally or in encrypted cloud storage and are sent only when an emergency is triggered
