Rust-red flora devoured cities, roads, memories.
Survivors huddled behind the walls of fortified sanctuaries;
the rest became beasts upon the wastes.
The world is now a silence that wounds.
Wind moves through ruins; plants bloom in dried blood—
beautiful, and lethal.
Rumour speaks of *Sky-Vault City*,
where the remnant government’s *Ark Laboratory* still operates.
There, perhaps, a way to end this lingers.
And you—
you are forced onto the road.
Your cargo is neither weapon nor data,
but a girl.
A girl in perfect symbiosis with Blood-Fern.
She is both cure and curse.
Along the way you will lose companions,
make choices that cannot be unmade,
and learn that “saving the world”
is far more brutal than you ever imagined.
